About Restaurant Brands New Zealand Limited
Restaurant Brands is the major fast food operator in New Zealand. It is a corporate franchisee which operates the New Zealand outlets of KFC, Pizza Hut and Starbucks. RBD acquired the rights to burger chain, Carl’s Jr in 2011. It currently has 18 stores, with plans to roll out the chain nationally. KFC is its largest and most successful business and Carl’s Jr is the key growth opportunity. RBD is reducing its company-owned store footprint in Pizza Hut, through divestments to independent franchisees. Starbucks is not a strategic priority. RBD is open to new opportunities.
