Adam Edgar

Adam joined Forsyth Barr Wanaka in 2024 and has a long family association with the firm. He has worked in the financial services industry for over 21 years, largely on the institutional side of the business, in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Adam leverages his international experience in equity, debt, and FX markets to deliver investment strategies to Forsyth Barr's clients.

 

Adam is registered as a financial adviser and is accredited as an NZX Adviser. He holds Securities qualifications from Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago.

 

Adam grew up in Dunedin and has spent most of his life in and around Central Otago. Married to Anna, and with three young children, Adam and his family love the Wanaka environment and are very involved in all that the wonderful landscape has to offer. In his spare time, Adam loves to run, hike and ski. He is on the board of the Winter Games NZ, Mitre 10 Ferry Mead and on the investment committee for Plunket NZ.
