About Damian
Damian Kearns joined Forsyth Barr in 2011 and is now in his 15th year of providing investment advice, working with individuals, families, trusts and charities. He advises clients across equities, fixed interest and diversified managed portfolios, and his role includes portfolio management and execution, ensuring disciplined and considered implementation. Damian has particular experience supporting high-net-worth clients and those requiring bespoke portfolio solutions, including investor visa requirements where relevant.
Damian is registered as a Financial Adviser and is accredited as an NZX Adviser. He became an inaugural Associate Member of the CFA Society of New Zealand in 2018, and in 2025 was appointed Associate Director of the CFA Society of New Zealand.
He is studying towards an advanced private wealth qualification with the CFA Institute and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major from the University of Otago. Damian is respected for building long-term client relationships and helping clients navigate changing market conditions with care, discipline and clarity.
