About Garth
Garth joined Forsyth Barr in 2025, bringing with him experience in the financial services industry since 2017, primarily within the agribusiness banking sector. Most recently, he oversaw teams across Otago and Southland, building strong client relationships and regional expertise.
Garth is currently working towards his NZX Adviser accreditation and studying for his New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) (Investment). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture) from Lincoln University.
Originally from Tapanui in West Otago, Garth attended Lincoln University before returning to the South. He enjoys most outdoor activities, particularly mountain biking, hunting, fishing, and farming.
