About Joanna

Joanna Newlove joined Forsyth Barr Auckland in 2008, before returning to Lower Hutt in 2010. Prior to joining Forsyth Barr, Joanna worked in marketing within the Banking and IT industries.

Joanna is registered as a financial adviser and is accredited as an NZX Adviser. She holds the NZX Diploma. Joanna gained a Bachelor in Business Studies majoring in Communication Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in marketing, both from Massey University.

Joanna works closely with her clients to understand their individual financial needs, goals and aspirations. She focuses on developing fully managed, bespoke portfolios tailored to each client’s investment objectives, drawing on the full range of Forsyth Barr services. She supports clients across all stages of investment including those beginning their investment journey, preparing for or enjoying retirement, navigating the sale of a business, or planning an intergenerational wealth transfer. Outside of work, Joanna is a surf lifeguard instructor, powerlifter and active member of Rotary Hutt Valley.
