About Nicholas

Nicholas Hay joined Forsyth Barr in 2026 and works in a team with Simon Gilroy and Hilary Kerslake. He spent the previous nine years working primarily in the accounting industry for large corporates, as well as the financial services industry setting up and selling a successful business specialising in KiwiSaver advice.

Nicholas is registered as a Financial Adviser and is currently working towards his NZX Adviser Accreditation, having completed his New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), Investment. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and Accounting from the University of Otago and is a Chartered Accountant.

Outside of work, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his young family, as well as golfing, running, mountain biking and motorbiking.
