About Nick

Nick Kavanagh joined Forsyth Barr in 2025, bringing more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry across New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Forsyth Barr, he spent eight years in London working in asset management, most recently as an investment manager with a US based family office.

Nick is registered as a Financial Adviser and is currently working towards NZX Adviser accreditation. He holds the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from Victoria University of Wellington, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Outside of work Nick enjoys the outdoors, playing golf, and spending time on the family farm near Cambridge.
