About Simon

Simon joined Forsyth Barr in 2026 after an elite sporting career. An Olympic medallist and three-time America’s Cup winner, he brings more than 18 years’ experience representing New Zealand at the highest level.

Having been a Forsyth Barr client during his sporting tenure, Simon joined the team to pursue his long-standing interest in financial markets and a career in wealth management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Valuation and the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) (Investment). Simon is registered as a financial adviser, and is currently working towards his NZX Adviser accreditation.

Outside of work, Simon remains actively involved in sailing and enjoys mountain biking, golf, and spending time with his wife and three children.
