About Tom

Tom Bliss joined Forsyth Barr Dunedin in 2000 and has over 31 years of experience in both the institutional and retail financial services industry.  He has spent the last 22 years providing investment advice and broking services to retail clients, including over 17 years of experience in client portfolio management and construction.  Tom emigrated from the United Kingdom to New Zealand in 1998 after working for three major international investment banks in the areas of bonds, equities and derivatives. 

Tom is registered as a financial adviser and is accredited as an NZX Adviser. He completed the London Stock Exchange Securities Association Exams, Introduction to Financial Planning through Adviserlink, and the New Zealand Futures and Options course from NZX Limited.

Tom is married with three children and gained New Zealand citizenship in 2007. He enjoys keeping fit and is a PADI Master SCUBA Diver and Divemaster.
