Seby Reeves joined Forsyth Barr in 2018. He has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently in New Zealand but also Sydney and London. Prior to joining Forsyth Barr he spent seven years at a New Zealand bank, most recently as a Senior Private Banker managing high net wealth clients, and as a member of the Wellington-based leadership team.
Seby is an Authorised Financial Adviser (2017) and is currently working towards accreditation as an NZX Adviser. A qualified lawyer, Seby graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University (2005) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Otago University (2004). Seby was admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand (2005) and as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales (2007). Between 2006 and 2011 he worked in London as a banking and finance lawyer advising on asset and project finance and private equity led mergers and acquisitions.
Seby is a trustee of the Scots College Foundation Board. He is married with two young children and enjoys skiing and golf.
