About James

James is an M&A and equity capital markets adviser with close to 20 years of experience across sectors and corporate and private equity clients. Prior to Forsyth Barr, James provided sell-side advisory, valuation and strategic advice for several high profile New Zealand and UK organisations.

At Forsyth Barr, James has been involved in a range of mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and debt capital market transactions including M&A advisory roles with Eastland group, Freightways, Methven, Vector and numerous private equity funds and equity and debt capital markets roles for Kathmandu, Z Energy, Arvida, WEL Networks, AFT Pharmaceuticals and Pacific Edge.

James holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Otago University.
