Nov 21 (Reuters) - Australian shares were set to fall at the open and end the week on a downbeat note on Friday, with possible losses in mining and energy stocks dragging the main index lower as underlying commodity prices retreated. The local share price index futures fell 1.7%, a 123.7-point discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index <.AXJO> close. The benchmark rose 1.2% on Thursday. New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index <.NZ50> fell 0.6% by 2125 GMT.
